Above (left) is the original photo of the late "Door's" frontman Jim Morrison. As you can see, the photo is rough looking, B&W, and lacks character. The doctored version has Jim in a sepia tone blend that captures his being. The photo is smoothed out, and the direction he's facing is changed, and also corrected the lighting. Before & after photos of the late Marilyn Monroe. There is really nothing wrong with the original photo, but what if someone decided that the image is too pale against a white borderless background. To define the picture, the hue is changed, giving the photo more vibrance, and a subtle rim is effected on the outskirts of the photo to give it a lift, and an interesting purple & white border is placed to please the eye. Before & after photos of the late Yul Brynner (who starred in The King & I, The Ten Commandments, & The Magnifcent Seven to name a few.) Notice the obvious problems with the picture on the left. He's holding an object, there are two different background shades, and a weird yellowish halo around his head. You can even see a piece of the wooden chair he's sitting on, and to the extreme right of the photo, is a strange purple border. Now look at the new photo where all the problems are corrected.
